• Hemodialysis Treatment: Our department provides hemodialysis treatment for patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) or acute kidney injury. Hemodialysis is a life-saving treatment that involves removing waste products and excess fluid from the blood when the kidneys are no longer able to perform this function adequately.
• Vascular Access Care: Our team specializes in the management and care of vascular access sites, including arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs), arteriovenous grafts (AVGs), and central venous catheters (CVCs). We ensure that these access sites remain functional and infection-free to facilitate hemodialysis treatment.
• Medication Management: We work closely with patients and their primary care providers to manage medications related to kidney disease and hemodialysis treatment. Our goal is to optimize medication regimens to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
• Nutritional Counseling: Our registered dietitians offer individualized nutritional counseling to patients undergoing hemodialysis. We educate patients about dietary restrictions, fluid intake management, and nutritional requirements to support their overall health and well-being.
